US Colleges
Tutors & Futures is a leading educational consultancy renowned for delivering exceptional academic guidance and tailored support, empowering students to achieve their full potential through expert tuition and strategic advice.
Our Experience
With extensive experience in U.S. college admissions, we provide comprehensive support for private candidates and home-educated students, ensuring they can access high-quality recommendation letters, tailored application guidance, and expert advice on every stage of the process. Many students outside of traditional school or college settings face barriers when applying to U.S. universities, and we bridge that gap with a structured, professional service aligned to their individual academic journey.
Our Process
A key part of our approach is consistent work monitoring to ensure independent learners stay focused and on track. Students submit a well-rounded portfolio across their subjects, allowing us to assess progress and provide informed, meaningful feedback. Through detailed analysis of this work and a close examination of their educational background, we build a clear picture of each applicant’s academic strengths—enabling us to confidently support recommendation letters, provide academic context, and contribute effectively to their Common App profile.
Common App
The Common App is a centralised application platform used by hundreds of U.S. colleges and universities, allowing students to apply to multiple institutions with a single application. As part of our tailored support, we guide students through every stage of the process—from selecting colleges and crafting personal and supplemental essays to submitting transcripts and teacher recommendations. Our structured approach ensures each section of the application reflects the student’s strengths, experiences, and academic readiness.

FAQs
The first step is to make an enquiry so that we get a greater understanding of your current situation, and work out what support you are looking for.
The standard application package costs £600. This includes academic evaluation and guidance across up to three subjects, a personalised teacher recommendation letter, and comprehensive support with the Common App, including the main essay and supplemental writing. We require full payment upfront in order to begin the process. Once your invoice has been settled, you'll receive access to your shared folders and can begin working directly with our admissions team on your U.S. college applications.
Please note that we do charge late fees if you apply particularly close to the deadline.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of the work we do, we are not in a position to offer refunds. The costs involved are for the time spent analysing work and preparing your application, not just for the final submission. We start this process as soon as payment is received.
U.S. college application deadlines for fall 2026 entry will typically fall between late 2025 and early 2026. For students applying through Early Action or Early Decision, most deadlines will be around November 1 or November 15, 2025. These early options allow students to apply to one or more colleges ahead of the main timeline, with decisions usually released in December. Some universities also offer Early Decision II, with deadlines in January 2026.
For those applying through Regular Decision, the deadline is usually between January 1 and January 15, 2026. Many colleges also offer rolling admissions, where applications are reviewed as they are received, often beginning in the early autumn of 2025 and continuing into spring 2026. Because each college sets its own deadlines, it’s important to check the specific dates for every institution a student plans to apply to.
We work with be home educated students, students resitting exams, 'mature' students wishing to change career path, individuals who have missed education due to illness, or those who would prefer to be independent from the college/sixth form which they attend.
Students must provide proof of previous exam results, including certificates from any formal qualifications they have already achieved. Additionally, we encourage the submission of high-quality evidence such as:
- Mock exams sat under exam conditions
- Past papers and responses to exam-style questions
- Detailed tutor or teacher feedback on submitted work
- Marked assessments demonstrating a student’s ability across all areas of the syllabus
Not necessarily. Many students have more than enough evidence to allow us to confidently make predictions. If we believe mock exams are necessary for you, we will give you plenty of notice.
Our expert predictions are based on a rigorous, evidence-driven process. We utilise our professional expertise and extensive experience to ensure that all assessments are both honest and accurate. By thoroughly analysing all submitted evidence—such as mock exams, past papers, and tutor feedback—we gain a clear picture of each student’s academic ability. We also compare this data with historical performance trends to make well-informed, realistic predictions. This meticulous approach ensures that our assessments reflect each student’s true potential, giving them the best possible foundation for success.
We take a holistic approach to understanding each student’s educational background, ensuring that all relevant factors are considered. This includes a thorough review of academic achievements, alongside any extracurricular activitiesthat may demonstrate a student’s skills, commitment, and personal development. We also carefully assess any mitigating circumstances that may have impacted a student’s education, allowing us to provide the most accurate and supportive guidance tailored to their individual needs.
We can not make any guarantees as we are reliant upon each student providing adequate evidence. Furthermore, although we take into account the entry requirements of your preferred universities, the grades should be set in isolation of an applicant's choice.
No! We understand the pressures involved in US college applications, but inflating grades can seriously disadvantage students.
An applicant may receive acceptance offers they are unlikely to meet, resulting in disappointment on enrollment decisions.
Additionally, students might get admitted to a programme where they struggle to succeed—choosing the right course and school is a crucial decision, given the significant investment of time, money, and effort involved. Changing paths later can be challenging and costly.
No! Your essay needs to come from the heart and show why the university should choose you. Unique statements always receive the best reception. While we won’t write it for you, we will provide detailed, constructive feedback on your drafts to help refine your message and ensure your strengths shine through.
You need to register with an exam centre, and this does incur additional costs. All of our students receive discounted entries with our exam partners Tutors & Exams, however it is up to you where you choose to sit the exams.
Our personalised service ensures that you get all the support you need to put together the best possible application. Check out our reviews to see what past students have said.
